Reception of Holy Communion at Mass  His Grace, Archbishop Cushley has judged this the appropriate time for us to reintroduce reception of the sacred host on the hand.  The extended period during which we received only on the tongue was to deter further sacrileges and happily there have been none.  The Church reminds us that when presenting ourselves for communion in the hand we must receive with due reverence, for example a bow of the head or gentle genuflection, then place the sacred host carefully on our tongue, make a sign of the Cross and turn to receive from the chalice or return to our seats.  No-one must casually walk away with the sacred host still in the hand or they will be gently but firmly asked to pause and consume before returning to their seat.
Prayerful good wishes to Slaine Heidi Milne baptised here last Saturday.
Church Care and Maintenance  Repainting of the Church roof interior will begin in the final week of September and should take around 8 days to complete.
