MASS INTENTIONS
Although I endeavour to celebrate Masses on dates requested, a Requiem Mass is the one occasion when a pre-arranged Mass may have to be moved to the next free date. I hope parishioners  understand and feel reassured that Mass for their loved one will be celebrated with prayerful devotion despite the upset caused in having had to change to a later date. Fr John.

‘ The Apostolate of Justice and Peace’
more simply known as ‘Justice and Peace  Scotland’ is a commission of the Bishops’ Conference. Their remit is to promote  awareness of and concern for social justice, human rights, peace and development and the integrity of all creation. That simply has to be more than an occasional media sound-bite, glossy newsletter or earnest report cataloguing failures of love and compassion around the world. It’s to be the heart of our daily discipleship, prayer
and practice.  To ‘turn the other cheek’ is not a sign of powerless humiliation but the act of one who faces the aggressor with the courage and determination that faith brings and speaks up for those denied a voice…..no matter the personal inconvenience or cost.
