A very big THANK YOU
to everyone involved in preparing for and celebrating our FAMILY MASS last Sunday morning, particularly our Liturgy Team and our children  who bring new life and enthusiasm to everything they do.
Church Care and Maintenance
The painting work is complete. We hope you appreciate the improvement to the overall brightness and enhanced dignity of the Church, the centre of our worship and prayer.  The next phase of the project is to upgrade and standardise the lighting to give a uniform colour temperature throughout. The carpet tiles are well-past their best and so we are looking at options for replacement.
MARY’S MEALS October ‘Back-Pack’ appeal
Each year we gather items of clothing and school equipment and fit it all into ‘Back-Packs’ and these are then sent off to Africa where every child who receives one is guaranteed a place in school and a hot meal every day.  If you need further information please contact Margaret on 01324554680.
As mentioned at the end of the Family Mass last weekend, we are keen to create a YOUTH GROUP. This would be an opportunity for our High School parishioners to meet on a regular basis. This Group is for YOU and we want to know your ideas as to how this would work best – if you have any ideas/ suggestions then please speak to one of the Children’s Liturgy leaders, Fr John or add these to the sheet on the notice board. The aim is to have the first meeting sometime before the end of this year.

Archbishop Cushley
has written that since the use of gluten-free hosts is inappropriate, parishes should obtain low-gluten altar breads from The Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration whose e-address is We have a number of parishioners with coeliac conditions and I would ask them to let me know if such low-gluten hosts would suit them.  Fr John
