NOVEMBER
 
Sunday 15th  Rite of Election during 10.30am Mass for children at P4 stage beginning their preparations for reception of the sacraments of Confirmation and First Holy Communion in the spring of 2016
 
Wednesday 18th    2.15pm Meeting at St Bernadette’s PS for parish families with children at P3 stage who will soon begin preparations for celebration of First Reconciliation in early 2016.
 
Saturday 21st / Sunday 22nd     Retiring collection after week-end Masses for the PASTORAL FORMATION FUND.
 
Sunday 22nd There will be a Youth Mission at St Patrick’s, Edinburgh, from 4-6pm, led by the Youth Mission Team of our Archdiocese. The evening will offer a friendly welcome, Praise & Worship, Reconciliation, Mass and Ministry Stations, great music and inspiring witness. All welcome for pizza in the foyer afterwards. DECEMBER
 
Saturday 5th    St Mungo’s WINTER FETE 10am and 2pm. Anyone who is interested in hiring a stall should contact fiona.browne@falkirk.gov.uk. Any donations for the tombola would be greatly appreciated and can be handed in to Miss Cully in Social Subjects. The money raised will go to charity and school funds. It should be a great day. Everyone is most welcome to come along. Entry is £1 for adults.’
 
Thursday 17th  SENIOR CITZENS’ CHRISTMAS DINNER at the Glenbervie Golf Club. 1.30pm for 2pm.  If you wish to attend this, please add your name to the list on the Notice Board.
 
LOURDES 2016  The organisers of the Pilgrimage to Lourdes by coach from 28th March – 3rd April require firm numbers  NOW.  Please confirm your booking with John Daley as soon as possible.  Thank you.

Saturday 28th November  ‘SCOTLAND’S CLIMATE MARCH – Take Pope Francis’ climate call to the streets’. SCIAF, Justice and Peace and many others will be marching in Edinburgh to call on world leaders to take tough action on climate change. There will be an ecumenical service at 11am at St Albert’s University Chaplaincy in George Sqaure.At 12 noon everyone will gather at the Middle – Meadow Walk, the Meadows. The March to Princes St, Gardens begins at 12.30. You are asked to come wearing your brightest colours.
 
Sunday 29th November    NATIVITY CAROL CONCERT  3pm St Andrew Square Gardens, Edinburgh. An occasion for the whole family to enjoy a truly seasonal celebration in preparation for Christmas.  See poster for details.
 
SCOTLAND’S CHURCHES TRUST   will offer a grant of up to £250 to cover the costs of up tio six organ lessons.  Any Grade 6 pianists willing to give it a go and perhaps join the Parish team later, then please speak to Fr John asap.
