COLLECTIONS LAST WEEK   Offertory £686.25   MISSIO £ 336.28   Thank you
Everyone who attended the retreat returned full of praise for a wonderful day.  Very many thanks to Isabella Holton for organising the event and arranging the transport.  Would there be any interest in spiritual visits further afield ?  Pluscarden, Iona, Rome ?
Church Care and Maintenance
The next phase of the project is to upgrade and standardise the lighting to give a uniform colour temperature throughout. The carpet tiles are well-past their best and so we are looking at options for replacement. We also commissioned a new Notice Board which is sited prominently in front of the Parish House for the convenience of all seeking information on Mass times etc.
Under article 9 # 1 of the European Convention on Human Rights, you have the right to Chaplaincy services when you or a loved one enters hospital for treatment. In the past, clergy had access to Admission Registers and could identify Catholic patients whom they would then visit on their rounds.  This no longer happens, so it is vital that you tell nursing staff that you wish to receive a visit from a member of the Catholic Chaplaincy Team during your stay in Hospital.
As mentioned at the end of the Family Mass last weekend, we are keen to create a YOUTH GROUP. This would be an opportunity for our High School parishioners to meet on a regular basis. This Group is for YOU and we want to know your ideas as to how this would work best – if you have any ideas/ suggestions then please speak to one of the Children’s Liturgy leaders, Fr John or add these to the sheet on the notice board. The aim is to have the first meeting sometime before the end of this year.
1: The monthly coffee morning will be held as usual in St. Bernadette's school community room on the 26th October from 9am until 11.30am.All welcome.
