EUCHARISTIC REVERENCE A desecrated host was found crumbled on the floor of the Church 2 weeks ago and so I wrote of the grave need to maintain Eucharistic respect and reverence at all times and to ensure that those who present themselves for communion at Mass have a settled belief in the sacramental presence of Christ and are in a state of grace. Parishioners will be shocked to learn that another crumbled and discarded host was discovered this week. In this less formal age we must be careful to avoid any tendency to receive holy communion in a casual way.  To maintain respect and reverence the Church recommends that when receiving holy communion in the hand, you transfer the sacred host immediately to your mouth before stepping aside either to receive from the chalice or to return prayerfully to your seat. Fr John

Tickets, priced £3 (for as many cups of coffee and cakes as you wish!) will be on sale each Sunday until the event. It's always a lovely morning enjoyed by everyone who participates.
