We apologise but due to unforeseen circumstances this month’s Coffee Morning will be cancelled.
Lent was originally 40 days of final preparation for those being received into the Church at Easter.  Over the centuries this developed into the penitential season we know it as today when each of us is invited to seek a deeper conversion of life as disciples of Jesus Christ through prayer, abstinence, fasting and charitable works.
Lent with Archbishop Cushley
Living the season of Lent can really change your life forever and for the better. In response to a request from young adults across, His Grace will lead a reflective evening in The Cathedral starting at 7pm on Sunday 25th March. See poster and cards for more details.
Walking the Way of the Cross during Lent is a devout tradition in our Church and obtains for participants a plenary indulgence.  There will be Stations of the Cross at 7pm on Friday evenings during Lent, preceded at 6pm by a Holy Hour of Adoration, quiet prayer and reflection. If you as a group / individually wish to lead the Stations please check the list on the Notice Board for available dates.

Pope Francis reminds us that the Holy Family of Nazareth urges us to rediscover the vocation and mission of every family.  If you are looking for something to help you share faith with your children check out the Catholic Truth website WWW.CTBOOKS.ORG/WMOF2018 where  you will find a host of helpful materials.
Fr John writes……As many parishioners know, my oldest and dearest friend of over 30 years, Marie Ramsay has been battling a debilitating illness for many months.  She is being offered further tests and surgery and perhaps palliative care and so being her friend with Power of Attorney and as her executor, I will be devoting time, as parish duties allow, to support her in the days that lie ahead. As always we hold our sick loved ones up to God in love and prayer.
