Do you feel drawn to exploring Christianity in the Catholic tradition, maybe even wondering about becoming a Catholic ? Well, RCIA [The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults] might be for you. Our local Cluster Parishes run RCIA each year for those like you who have a real desire to discover more about Jesus and His Church and what it means to believe and belong. St Francis Xavier’s, Falkirk hosts these weekly RCIA sessions annually from September to June. Please contact me if you’d like to know more. Fr John
MASS INTENTIONS & STIPENDS  As you may know, HMRC regards priests as self-employed with Mass Intention stipends being considered part of their personal income. These tend to dry up on retirement. A retired Priest friend has asked me if I could send him any surplus Mass Intentions. You may have several forthcoming Mass Intentions which you would be happy for me to forward to my friend. Please speak to me if this is something you would be willing to consider.   Thank you.  Fr John
STRATHCARRON HOSPICE SUMMER RAFFLE   Support your local Hospice and be in with a chance of winning a 2013 (63) White Fiat 500 Pop in the Strathcarron Hospice Summer Raffle in association with Forth Carz. Every year, Strathcarron Hospice provides care and support to over 1,800 local people living with a life-limiting illness or condition, at a time when both they and their family need it most. All of Strathcarron’s services are provided free of charge including in-patient care, Day Care, Hospice@Home and bereavement support. The Hospice needs to raise over £11,000 every day to keep these running and the money raised from the Raffle will be used to help the Team continue to provide endless care, love and support to those in our communities who are living with a terminal illness. For just £1 per entry, you have the wonderful opportunity of winning this fantastic car whilst supporting your local Hospice. Tickets available after 10.30am Mass on Sunday 6th & 13th August from Michael Quinn.
Thanks to everyone for signing the SPUC Petition opposing the move to ‘decriminalise’ late abortions; the latest threat to life and our Christian culture and traditions. The Petition has been forwarded to SPUC.
